OUR PEOPLE ARE OUR GREATEST STRENGTH.
OUR CULTURE AND COMMAND ARE BUILT ON TRUST.
PREVENTION IS KEY.

The Army is strengthening its commitment to developing its prevention capabilities through the Integrated Prevention Advisory Group (I-PAG), in accordance with our “People First” priority and the Secretary of the Army’s goal to reduce harmful behaviors across the force.

The I-PAG integrates protective factors that help prevent sexual assault, self-harm, domestic violence/intimate
partner violence, child abuse and workplace violence into a prevention workforce.

Using a community-oriented approach, the I-PAG works with Army leadership to prevent harmful behaviors and to implement integrated primary prevention practices across the Army that enable Soldiers, Army Civilians and their Family members to remain safe and focused on the mission at hand.

THE ARMY PRIORITIZES PEOPLE.

The Army’s cohesive, comprehensive public health systems approach to integrated primary prevention focuses on mitigating risk and strengthening protective factors to decrease conditions and stressors that can lead to unhealthy behaviors. The military is making a significant financial contribution to this new multilevel workforce to ensure that it is led by experts and informed by relevant data. The I-PAG is a prevention-focused advisory group across Army installations whose data-informed resources and tools empower Army leaders and commanders to prevent harmful behaviors and keep everyone safe, healthy, and mission-ready.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The Army thrives on a culture of trust, decency and respect—one that allows Soldiers, Army Civilians and Family members to advocate for themselves, to stay safe and to connect with the resources they need to be physically and mentally healthy. This will allow the Army to increase help-seeking behaviors, to better prevent harmful behaviors from occurring, to care for Soldiers and to build healthy, positive organizational and community environments that promote mission accomplishment.

The Army I-PAG is hiring professionals for various positions to support critical efforts to prevent sexual assault, self-harm, harassment, domestic abuse, and child abuse and neglect across the service.

Check USAJOBS.Gov for vacancies and more information. Recruitment incentives, such as relocation and/or student loan repayment, may be included.

I-PAG personnel are chosen based on specialized training and expertise in public health, social sciences, strategic planning and data analytics, which enable them to work with their community to understand and address needs, as well as to identify, implement and evaluate prevention activities for short-, intermediate-, and long-term outcomes.
