    The mission of the Army Resilience Directorate is to provide policy, resources, and capabilities for individuals and leaders in order to increase resilience and readiness.

    ARD’s lines of effort are Prevention (main effort), Knowledge and Information Management, and Response.

  • What programs is ARD responsible for?
    ARD is responsible for overseeing the Army’s Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program Office, Army Substance Abuse Program, Army Suicide Prevention Program, and Ready and Resilient Education and Training.

  • What is the Army’s top priority?
    Readiness. ARD provides training and resources to the Army Family to enhance readiness, resilience, and optimize performance. ARD reinforces the Army Values, beliefs and attitudes, and educates members of the Army team about the importance of building connections with each other, taking care of one another, and being there to support fellow Soldiers.

    ARD is located within the National Capital Region. ARD also has Ready and Resilient Performance Centers located at installations both CONUS and OCONUS.
